[Dsg-htcc] Gas Type

Dear Brian,
I have switched purging of the HTCC volume from dry Air to dry Carbon Dioxide couple of days before start of the Engineering run in January 2018.Since then the HTCC is being purged continuously with CO2 and must be purged with CO2 until ER and following Physics Run are completed.Only things that need to be controlled is CO2 flow rate (now is of 10 L/min) that is being controlled by me on regular basis, and availability of CO2 dewars enough for uninterrupted supply of both HTCC and DC. Denny Insley is controlling timely purchasing of CO2 as needed.I also plan to modify purging scheme depending on type of the gas in use, i.e. if air or nitrogen are to be used than the inlet should be at the bottom of the volume (as it is now), but if Carbon Dioxide-than the inlet must be on the top. So the OSP have to be modified and etc.I will let you know of any changes in purging (rates, type of the gases or schemes). Please let me know if you have any regarding questions.Thank you. Youri

Youri/Nick,

Is the HTCC still connected to Dry Air or should it be flowing CO2?
