Subject: [Dsg-htcc] Revised HTCC components

Hi Youri and Nick,

We met a couple of weeks ago and discussed a better strategy
to supply
CO2 to the detector in the hall. Currently, we use a mass flow
controller, which in the case of an outage which would outlast
the UPS
would close. The solution is to change this to a mass flow
transducer on
the detector inlet, which would be supplied by a standard
rotameter
installed in the gas shed. This set up would then supply gas in
any
condition and still be adjustable without entering the Hall.

The rough estimate for the new equipment would be
approximately $3200
which would include one transducer, plus a spare, and a
rotameter.
George is preparing an dollar figure quote and augmenting the
drawings.

Once you receive the quote from us, please let us know how to
proceed
with the procurement as soon as possible.

Thanks,
