[Dsg-ltcc] LTCC Leak Meeting

Hi,

DSG met with Hall B to discuss the status of the LTCC sectors, in 
preparation for the Engineering run in October.

Attendees: Volker, Stepan, Maurizio, Brian, George, Marc, and Dave A.

Topics discussed:

  * LTCC Refurb work done prior to installation
  * Expected gas usage estimates sent from the DSG
  * Methods of testing the sectors for leaks and past methods of repair
  * Future use of the LTCC with a recovery system

For the immediate path going forward, the forward carriage will be 
retracted in a few weeks to remove sector 4. At that time Hall B will 
check for leaks using R134a and try to seal sector 3 and check for leaks 
on sector 5. It will also be possible to check for leaks at the supply 
and return connections.

Hall B will probably use sector 5 for the engineering run. DSG will 
continue monitoring the sectors and provide that data to Hall B.

Attached are two presentation from DSG on the leak study of the LTCC. _

the data. _

_LTCC Leakage_ presents a calculation of the leak rate as it relates to 
sector pressure decay.

The latest LTCC pressure chart is located at the link below. The file is 
large (~22Kb) but is a graph of all 6 sectors and ambient pressure.
