[Dsg-hallb_magnets] Cryocon status

Hello Renuka, 

Nick, Scot, Mindy Leffel, and I will be meeting in Hall B tomorrow morning to go over the reference grounding for the Cryo-con sensors. Mindy is a DSG member and she will be able to help me with any grounding or wiring if the same "clip" issue happens in the future. 

Today, I got the Cryo-con unit from the Radcon Survey table. We have used Christiana's adapter from the LV Excitation Chassis testing for a resistance load to ensure that the Cryo-con is reading the correct resistance for each channel. All channels A through H read the correct resistances when the test adapter is plugged in. Tomorrow, we will see if the resistance is correctly converted to temperature by loading a configuration curve for one of the Cernox sensors that are used. These steps were recommended by Guy in his reply email that you had forwarded last week. 

I have only been able to replicate the "clip" message if there is nothing plugged into the ports on the back of the Cryo-con unit or if the adapter is not properly plugged in.
