Since the remote display for the Solenoid was initially used for testing the Torus PLC no changes other than upgrading the firmware on the 435 NBX module were needed to establish communications between the NBX and MPS.

The following functionality of the Solenoid MPS Control screen was tested:

- Turning on and off the MPS
- Testing the stop ramp button
- Verifying polarity, current, voltage, and ramp rate read back (the ramp rate has fixed values now)
- Changing the current set point (and using that to switch polarity)
- Verifying the max sw limit for current works
- Switching between local and remote modes
- Resetting the PLC, MPS and comms interlocks
- Performing a fast dump (which did set the current to 0 A, but it wasn't obvious that the contactor on the MPS switched)
- Checking MPS interlocks on the interlock screen

Positive polarity was tested up to +75 A, while negative polarity was done to -10 A.
