Hello Scot,

Can you please, let me know when are you going to connect the temperature sensor cables, so then I can check the Cryocon Units and verified the readouts for those temperature sensors that were displaying 0.0 K.
Next time, can you please inform us to the Dsg-hallb_magnets mailing list, before disconnect the instrumentation.

Best Regards,
Pablo

Brian,

All temperature sensor cables are disconnected. Voltage Tap cable to FT 8605 is also disconnected.

Shorting foam is installed on all feedthroughs. Will resume tomorrow by installing system cables interlock loops on vacuum connectors FT's 8602-8605

Ruben, I just talked with Pablo as he was leaving, it wasn't clear if you guys were going to try and connect the temp sensors again today. If so I can check them either remotely or I can stop by the lab later as I'm going to my brothers and will be in the area for a bit. ----- Ruben Fair wrote: > Hi Pablo, > > Scot has disconnected all the cables temporarily. > > We should re-connect them within the next 15 mins. > > Also, there is a broken wire on Feed thru 8604 which Scot is trying to fix. > > Ruben > > > > From: "Pablo Campero Rojas" > To: "Ruben Fair" > Cc: "dsg-hallb magnets" > Sent: Monday, July 17, 2017 5:23:02 PM > Subject: Re: Hall B Solenoid - temperature sensors > > Hello Ruben, > > I checked the sensors that is reading back 0.0 K > > TR8671 > TR8673 > TR8611 > TR8672 > TR8674 > TR8610 > > The mentioned sensors are read by the Cryocon Units, so I have to go and check the cryocon units readouts and also make sure that the mentioned temperature sensors are physically connected in the Solenoid Service Tower. > PLC is reading 0.0 K values because the Cryocon Unit is reading a real zero (which we know is not possible at this moment) or it has a ''clip'' readback on its channels where the temperature sensors is connected (Most probably for now). > > > Best Regards, > Pablo > > > > From: "Ruben Fair" > To: "Pablo Campero Rojas" , "Probir Ghoshal" > Cc: "Scot Spiegel" > Sent: Monday, July 17, 2017 4:35:26 PM > Subject: Hall B Solenoid - temperature sensors > > Pablo, Probir, > > All the temperature sensors are now installed and the connectors are still plugged in. > > Please review all the sensors on EPICS and see if they are all reading what you expect. > > If not, please work with each other to assign correct calibration curves. > > I shall disconnect the cables first thing tomorrow morning at 7am as welding will start shortly after. > > Regards > > Ruben >
