[Dsg-hallb_magnets] Solenoid - Instrumentation Test

After verified the instrumentation already installed in the SST, the ranges are the following: 

Signal ID 	

Range 


PT8620 	

0-75 psia 


PT8670 	

0-50 psia 


LL8620DP 	

0-5 IN H2O 


LL8670DP 	

0-25 IN H20 



I don't know the ranges for PT8675 and PT8677. 






I update the Instrumentation TEST PLC- EPICS PLAN_v4_March 8th 2017 spreadsheet, with the new Wesley’s updates. Find it on M:\hallb_eng\CLAS12\Magnets\Solenoid\Controls and Wiring 



Wesley, 

Heaters HTR8620 and HTR8672 don’t display cPID screens at the moment, when I clicked on the heater readback. How can I link to these screens?

Nick checked the drawings for me. Confirmed the PV in this case is like a gateway or similar. Gave me a Torus example also. I'll get it updated this morning. I'll leave the xls for Pablo to update.

The heater readbacks have the link to the PID controls, not the images. That was removed after finding a loop-hole where the image could link to the wrong PV (previously noted as the issue). 

As for PV8674... Aren't all PV-valves percent-based and PID controlled? Open/closed only applied to SV's.

With regards to your questions my answers are in blue. 


Has this plan now been updated to take into account Wesley's previous comments about certain items being completed and Scot completing drawings? 



1. Looking at the Solenoid EPICS screens I still have the following observations: 

1.1 On the SST- Helium screen, when the heater images for HTR8620 and HTR8672 are clicked, the pop-up cPIDs do not appear. 

1.2. The indicator for the valve PV8674 should be displaying an Open/Close indicator, not % indicator. 



2. All drawings except DWG B000000900-0626 were updated. 



Also, I have just looked in M:\hallb_eng\CLAS12\Magnets\Solenoid\Controls and Wiring and can only see a test plan dated 23rd Feb. 



Latest updated version of this document ( Instrumentation TEST PLC- EPICS PLAN_v3_February 28th 2017 - copy ) is on the M:\hallb_eng\CLAS12\Magnets\Solenoid\Controls.

Hello Renuka, 

Tyler, Amanda and I have been working to complete some of the tests to the instrumentation in the SST. 
I updated the Instrumentation TEST PLC- EPICS PLAN_v3_February 28th 2017 spreadsheet (attached). You can find there the comments and all the tasks that were checked. 

During the test we check again the wiring to make sure the correct functionality of the instrumentation and we found that the PV8674 (Pneumatic valve) was assigned to the wrong output PLC module. This signal was change from 1756-OF8 analog output module channel 0 to 1756-OW16I Relay output module channel 15, so the drawings 0623 and 0640 will be update by Scot, as we agreed. 

Please take a look and let me know if you have any comments.
