[Dsg-hallb_magnets] Torus interlock sp. sht

Hello Ruben,

Find my answers below in blue.

I am concerned with your statement that we do not know which is the latest version for the Torus.

In the path ‘M:\hallb_eng\CLAS12\Magnets\Torus\JLab Torus\Operations - JLab Torus\Interlock Thresholds ’ there are two spreadsheets labeled ‘Interlock Thresholds_V1 NS 121316’.

I cannot tell which is the most updated version.

Nick - can you throw some light on this? Also, does the interlock spreadsheet match the interlock status screen.

Pablo,

The screenshots that you sent me are the screen shots that I sent you yesterday - what do you mean by 'now it looks better'?

There are more indicators now for the Torus Cryo Interlocks under Controlled Ramp Down column.

We can now tell exactly what interlock tripped. Before the new update there was only one indicator for ten cryo interlocks.

I am looking to you to work with Wesley to update the Solenoid interlock status screen so that it matches the related spread sheet.

Once Wesley completes the Solenoid Interlock Status screen I can verify that the screen matches the spreadsheet.

After the Instrumentation tests that I have been performing, I have been communicating through the ‘dsg-hallb-magnets’ mailing list what has not worked on the Solenoid EPICS screens.

For example, in the ‘Solenoid- SOE and Dump Switch MPS Test - V3’ spreadsheet (Attached) that I sent to the mailing list after each test, there is a column of EPICS issues that need to be resolved.

Please complete this by Monday next week.

I will say this only one more time this year - please take the initiative and work together to resolve issues as they arise.

Do not simply assume that someone else (me for example) will notice inconsistencies and mistakes and omissions and remind you to correct them - please check your own work and that of your team mates.

Best Regards,

Pablo

Hello Ruben,

1. You can find the Torus Interlock spreadsheet stored in this link: M:\hallb_eng\CLAS12\Magnets\Torus\JLab Torus\Operations - JLab Torus\Interlock Thresholds
There are different version there, and I'm not really sure which is the latest version, maybe Nick can confirm that.

2. With regards to the Interlock Status EPICS screens, I just noticed that the Torus has different configuration and appearance (Attached screenshot); now it looks better.
The Solenoid Interlock Status screen has some inconsistencies (e.g. missed status indicators and cryo interlocks labels) with regards of what is reflected on the Interlock Thresholds_Solenoid_April_18_2017_v5 spreadsheet.
All thresholds and configuration assigned on this spreadsheet mentioned ( Interlock Thresholds_Solenoid_April_18_2017_v5 ) is reflected on the Solenoid PLC code and hardware devices as we agreed during last meeting, so as far as I know the the Solenoid Interlock Status screen should be updated in order to match with this spreadsheet.

Best Regards
Pablo

Pblo,

Where is the Torus interlocks sp. sht stored? I want to have a look at it.

I have attached screenshots of both the Torus and Solenoid interlock screens.

Please compare the two and also the related interlock Excel sp. shts when resolving the apparent inconsistencies that I noticed today.

Regards

Ruben
