Hi Amrit, 

Here is the work log for 09/15/17 

8:30 - Ramped magnet up to 1060 A . Suspected VT 8 coil3 tripped. 

11: 00 - Ramped magnet up to 1066 A. Suspected VT 8 coil 3 tripped. 

12: 00 - Analyzed data and consulted Renuka the option of increasing thresholds in QD1. 

14:00 - measured IDCCT MPS current out after to check noise level found ~ 30 mV. After ramp the magnet to 5 A. 

15:00 - Started to increased thresholds in QD 1 at channels 1 and 2. Both increased from 60 mV to 100 mV. 

15:30 - finalized tunning on QD 1. Recorded data after tested new thresholds added at 100 mV differential. 

16:00 initiated ramp up of the solenoid up to 1000 A at .4 A/s. Reached without any issue. 

17: 00 Continued ramp up to 1250 A at 50 A steps . No trips, only recover the system from over pressure in lead tank, from 1.67 to 1.3 atma. 

18:30 - Decided ramp up to full current 2416 A, at 100 A steps. Noticed a bit of increment on VT splice. VT 19 at ~48 mV. Raised PLC thresholds for VT 19 and VT 1 from 50 mv to 100 mV. voltage tap in splices. 

19:40 - Noticed that after 2000 A temperature in the VCL increased from 10 to 13 K. Nick raised thresholds to 13.5 K. 

19: 55 - Quench event , fast Dump occurred at 2148 A. Due to over temperature ( temp raised to 14 K) on VCL B. VT Coils went smoothly, no spikes noticed during the entire ramp up of the magnet
