Yes - I support this proposal. 

Following any further discussions with National Instruments to understand the failures, if we believe a different model number might eliminate these issues, then we should discuss with Volker the possibility of purchasing one or even two spares for the solenoid and torus systems. Are they about $3000 each?

Hi Volker, 

Yesterday we had both cRIOs that are used for the logging magnet voltage tap data fail. 

Since there was only one spare on hand for the magnets I had to use the one for the gas system that was used for testing & development (as well as its spare). 

I put in a PR for one cRIO to replace the one from the gas system (PR# 376196), as that is the bare minimum required. If there is funding available in the future we should probably order another as well.
