Hello Amrit,

After the last solenoid fast dump occurred on 8/27/2018, it was noticed that SOE PLC module timestamp indicated the QD#2-ch2 (used to monitor only VT1_DAQ) as the first trip, but nevertheless the Fast-DAQ data showed that there was previous activity (Voltage spike ~ 1 V) for VT15_DAQ.
VT15_DAQ appears as one the VTs signals that are connected in QD#1-ch3 ( VT15_DAQ+VT16_DAQ+VT17_DAQ+VT18_DAQ+VT19_DAQ) and QD#2-ch4 ( VT15_DAQ+VT16_DAQ+VT17_DAQ+VT18_DAQ )

Today the following actions were performed Magnet Group, DSG, Nick and Scot in order to test the QDs and control systems operations:

1. Checked connectors/ feed-thoughts at the Resistor Box, which is located right after the actual voltage tap connections in the solenoid and before the QDs.
2. Verified wiring connection with current drawings.
3. Checked voltage tap connection in the cRIO ADC channels and compared with drawings - All connections correct.
4. Injected voltage in the resistor box to simulate voltage signal for VT15_DAQ. Started with 200 mV and raised to 1 V- With this action it was verified the proper readouts in the control systems.
5. Monitored voltage injected by looking to the FastDAQ live data. - Data showed same values as voltage injected for VT15_DAQ.
6. Injected voltage in Resistor Box to check VT1_DAQ behavior, started with 80 mV and raised at 10 mV steps. Tipped QD#2-ch2 at 130 mV, which is correct based on the set threshold in QD (100 mV threshold).
7. Injected voltage at the Resistor Box to trip QD#1-ch3 and QD#2-ch4. - Injected 2 V for QD#1-ch3 and 2V for QD#2-ch4, both tripped as expected since set threshold is 1.5 V.
8. Connected signal generator at Resistor Box connector that is used to read VT15_DAQ - Injected 10 Vpp at different frequency ( 500 Hz, 1, 2,3, 5 KHz and 10 KHz). The aim for this test was to see the real behaivior of the cRIO NOTCH filter, noticed that voltage readouts decreased as the frequency for the input signal was increased ( Voltage read at 2KHz was ~ 7.2 V). ADC filter is working as expected.

After all test and task made, we can conclude that wiring is correct, control systems are operating properly and QDs seems to be tripping as expected. The voltage spikes showed could be coming from external sources for VT1_DAQ (located in lead A/SJ11)
This afternoon Ruben, Nick, Scot and Probir were checking the connections and wiring between the Solenoid feed-throughs (used for the VTs) and controls rack, so then we can ensure that its not wiring issue.

Best Regards,
Pablo
