This morning, Solenoid PLC was having communication issues between Solenoid Cryocons and MPS.

Solenoid Cryocon 1, NBX 490 module (PLC-cryocon comms) and NBX 435 module (serial for MPS-PLC comms) could not be reached over the network.

After making an access to Hall B, we cycled power to the NBX modules and the Cryocon. The power cycle had no effect. We traced their network cables to the network switch and verified that the network switch was okay.

We then changed the ports that the NBX modules and Cryocon's network cables were plugged into. This resolved all issues and communication was reestablished to all devices. Below is where all devices are now plugged into the network switches.

device: new port
Solenoid NBX 490: Switch in Rack L2-10 port 1
Solenoid NBX 435: Switch in Rack L2-10 port 6
Solenoid Cryocon 1: Switch in Rack L2-3 port 19. Note: this is the Torus network switch, we temporarily ran the network cable between rack rows to get the system back online.

After re-establishing comms, we also had to reset the DBX-Solenoid PLC communication status bits and Solenoid Chassis Watchdog as those connection most likely got briefly disconnected during the debugging of the other network issues.

As of this entry, all Solenoid interlocks have been cleared.
