Thanks for coming back with questions.
I missed the last point earlier.


  1.  We need to complete Section 8 in those two checklists? YES that is correct
  2.  Do I need to initial all items in Sections 1-7? Yes you have to with a note that is referenced back to the check list completed (based on the checklist attached)
  3.  You are giving me authorization to sign off powering authorization at the bottom of these checklists? YES that is correct
  4.  What do I do with two completed checklists? Upload them to M: drive? Yes, or sign and scan and send this across to Ruben or me.

  1.  We need to complete Section 8 in those two checklists?

Good afternoon Eugene,



Nice talking to you this afternoon.

I did speak to Ruben and understand you can sign off the powering authorization sheet based on the all the checks and upon completing the final sweep.

All checklists are saved at the following location (will also attach copies for your ready reference in case you do not see or have an access to the folder)-



M:\hallb_eng\CLAS12\Magnets\Operations\July 2020



A few not here (attached) are completed by DSG (Thanks to Pablo and Tyler) and are logged by Tyler/Pablo last week.

The only thing that needs to be completed after the magnet sweep and putting the barriers & lights and then sign off the following two sheets (also attached blank) -

  1.  B000000400-P002 Hall b solenoid
  2.  B000000401-p021 hall b torus

Step wise (as you are aware of) reminder of the process, magnet running overnight/week end -

  1.  Please inform by calling ESR and Cryo that you will be charging the magnet to 500 A (not full operating current) and do the log entry.
  2.  Run the magnets one by one (not necessary but referred), log entry.
  3.  Ensure that the FastDAQ is recording.
  4.  Drop an email to Ruben, DSG and me...so that we can also keep an eye remotely

Once you come back on Monday, please ensure to run the magnet down and switch off MPS (both).

  1.  Work as required and please ensure to carry out sweep again before charging the magnet..!
  2.  And follow the steps as above.
