[Dsg-hallb_prad_ii] PRad meeting and run tomorrow

Hello Tsuneo,

Last time I checked and tested the implementation of the datalogger code it was working with no issues.
The portion of the code to acquire the sensor data was not changed.
If values for temperature or pressure are not displaying it could be due to communication issues with the controllers, make sure they are properly connected and monitor the communication status indicators in LabVIEW user interface.

If the issues persist, we can meet today around 16:00 or tomorrow morning.

Hola Pablo,

PRad.vi does not work properly, for example some temperatures and pressures are not shown. There are red click marks there.
Do you know this is coming from vi or different reasons ?
Thank you.

        Saludos, Tsuneo Kageya.

Hola Pablo,

 thank you for the response.
If you add these items to the Labivew recording, that is great.

Right now, we are not running and you can access to the PC anytime.

      Saludos, Tsuneo Kageya.

Hello Tsuneo,

1. Yes, I can add the cell/chamber fill pressure variable to be logged.

2. No, currently there is no direct connection between turbo pumps' controllers and LabVIEW to read power status for any turbo pump. Adding these would involve some re-wiring and writing additional LabVIEW code. However, we do have a DI signal from the NI6001 DAQ module which is used to know if the four turbo pumps tripped (equivalent to turning off the pumps). We should be able to add this signal to the list of archived variables.
Boolean indicator in the LabVIEW user interface is shown below:

Let me know when would be a good time to access/login the computer.

Regards,
Pablo

Hola Pablo,

 can we add the followings;

(1) cell/chamber fill P (PT2)

(2) Can you get info from the turbo pump controllers ?
I would like to get records of On/Off.

      Saludos, Tsuneo Kageya.

Hello Tsuneo and Xiangdong,

I verified the settings for the computer, so it does not go to sleep mode base on the instructions provided by computer center support.

I completed and tested the LabVIEW code to archive data locally in the SPFDOBRENZ computer.
Currently the code archives all variables requested by Andrew, here is the list:
Flow (cc/min)
Cell Pressure (mTorr)
Chamber Pressure (mTorr)
8 temperature readings (K)
Calculated areal density (atms/sc)

If desired more variables can be added.
Here a screenshot of the new controls added to the main PRad LabVIEW user interface
Next time you should be able to use with no issues.

Hola Pablo,

we think the line to the call may have been blocked with water or/and air
leaking. We decide to stop the procedure and warm up the system.
We are running Labview until it stops by itself.
If you can fix some issues for PC or/and Labview, please go ahead..
Thank you.

         Saludos, Tsuneo Kageya.

Hello Xiangdong,

Yes, I can help with that.
I'm writing code to log the data locally, I'm planning on testing it today.

Regards,
Pablo

Gentlemen,

The control PC felt asleep last night, despite that it was set to no sleeping and no screensaver mode. The EV one bomb closed again last night, which resulted the PT-2 increased to 30 psi’s.

For today, we should try to
1. fix the window sleeping problem (Pablo, could you do that?)
2. watch cell fill P for ~2 hours,
3. slowly increase the flow rate while keeping the cell fill P below the cutoff point,
4. and to figure out a way to save the data so I can find out the cost of communication failure.

I need time to update my err talk this afternoon and upload it, I will stay in my office (I can take short calls).

Could I be excused from being at ESB this afternoon? I appreciate it.

Could the rest of us get together and make a plan SOON?

Thanks,
xiangdong

Gentlemen,

The labview crashed one Andrew tried to wake up the control computer windows at 8 PM. Ask the consequence, all running turbo pounds were tripped. So he called me and I could not help him to reset over the phone. I came here worked with Andrew together for a while and then we figured out how to reset everything, which included the interlock box, the ev valve control, all 3 turbo pumps, reset the flow controller to 200 cc per minute, turning on EV1 valve, and clear the communication errors. The system went back to normal 30 minutes after tripping.
we decided to turn on the heater to control the second stage temperature at 15 Kelvin. at this moment, the cell temperature is 16.1 Kelvin and the gas temperature is 35.5 Kelvin. I will leave this one running overnight.
we also turned off the screensaver. So tomorrow morning people should be able to see the active screen, I hope.

Thanks,

Xiangdong

Hi everybody,

Who has not read the Epas and procedure and did not sign on the Epas
list, please do so.
When you cooldown the PRad-II target and flow He gas, please follow the
procedure included in Epas.
If you find any conflicts between the procedure and what you really experience and any comments, please write down them on the log book
and let me know.

One thing which I have to mention is that the heater cable is not connected to
target. Please connect it. The cable is labeled as "Heater" and it is coming
from the backside of LS336 (banana clip connections).
Thank you.

     Regards, Tsuneo Kageya.

Gentlemen,

The weekly meeting this afternoon is canceled due to the continuing rehearsal of ERR. Please make sure EVERYTHING is ready for flowing gas and cooking down the target, starting at 9am.

Thanks,

Xiangdong
