[Dsg-hallb_prad_ii] Labview program data logging

Hello Xiandong,

The LabVIEW code is fine, this is how it normally works, you can't open the excel file to which LABVIEW is writing the data while it is running. There is no way of having two sources writing data to the same file simultaneously, that is why as soon as you open that excel file it displays an error.

The solution to look at the data while data logging program is running as follow:

1.Make a copy of the excel file with the recorded data, location for the excel file is shown in LabVIEW File Path indicator.
2. Open this copy, it will contain the data until the second when the copy was made
3. If desired, after checking the data you can deleted this copy, so we do not take unnecessary space on the local C drive

You can repeat these steps to look at the data while data keeps recording as many times as you want. I hope the explanation is clear, if not, let me know and I can clarify your questions.

Also, when I came this morning to the ESB, I noticed that the SPFDOBRENZ computer was sleeping and suspended.
I'm still awaiting a response from the computer center to resolve this issue.

Regards,
Pablo

Gentlemen,

The PRad2 target trip a few more times this afternoon, and the tripping cycle got shorter and shorter. The last time was only three minutes. In the same time, PT-2 went up to 12 psi and the labview dropped flow rate to 0.

All symptoms indicated that the floor line was blocked.

Tsuneo and I decided to warm up the target for another round of the leak checking to determine the cost of blockage.

Pablo, it looks like if we check the excel file without turning off the data logging, the labview program will crash (stuck on saving data). Could you take a look at your convenient time?

Thanks,

Xiangdong

Hi Pablo,

Today we found that the live numbers and plots in PRad-II control program were not updated when the data logging button was enabled. The excel spreadsheet showed all lines were just the repeats of the first line. The Excel file you saved when testing the new feature also shown the repeating data set. The data display went back to alive after logging stopped.

Please take a look at the program and fix this issue.

We are running the PRad-II target this week. The target temperature was set to 15K for overnight. We will be there after 9 AM tomorrow.

Thanks,

Xiangdong
