From tlemon at jlab.org Fri Nov 14 11:54:14 2025 From: tlemon at jlab.org (Tyler Lemon) Date: Fri, 14 Nov 2025 16:54:14 +0000 Subject: [dsg-hallb_rich] RICH S1 hardware interlocks rebooted - all normal Message-ID: Hi Valery, I went down to Hall B and rebooted the RICH S1 hardware interlock cRIO. Upon reboot, the N2 flow reading was restored and is operational. Please check that all of the interlock limits are correct. I also took a photo of the RICH nitrogen panel (attached). In the photo, you can clearly see that both sectors are getting about 40 liters per minute of N2 flow. You can also see in the photo that the panel has several white, tags attached to the valves and rotameters. These are administrative lock out tags that Bob Miller placed on the panel stating to not operate the item. This even more reinforcement that RICH detector N2 flow not remotely controllable and will only be stopped if someone purposefully ignores the administrative lockout tags to turn off flow. Also, while down in the hall, I swapped read out ports for humidity sensor 1 & 2 (EP sensors) with humidity sensor 25 & 26 (N2 volume sensors). When I did this, the reading for H1 & H2 moved to H25 & H26 and vice versa. This shows that the zero humidity readings in the N2 volume are because the humidity is so low that it is below the sensor's measurement range, not that the sensor or readout channels are not working. If needed, I can meet you in the hall one day next week so you can see this for yourself. -Tyler -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
