Hi Walt,<br>

All the components for this are currently in EEL rm 125. <br>

We have a plan for the layout of the room, but I had not received
any information
<br>
about the addition of electrical infrastructure. We'll need to do
the following:
<br>
<br>
a) walk through the plan and determine where the power needs to be
installed to
<br>
support the compressor,
<br>
b) determine if there is any power in the area that is available
to support this load,
<br>
if not we'll have to determine where we're routing it from,
<br>
c) come up with a price and schedule to do the work in time to
support this activity.
<br>
<br>
If the price is too high, we may need to think about alternatives,
including using
<br>
a different compressor OR relocating the work to where the power
is available.
<br>
<br>
Still, if there is a welding outlet in the room (I'm not sure), we
may be able to
<br>
purchase and use one of the new Bertha's to support this activity.
That would
<br>
be less than $10,000.
<br>
<br>
I will walk the area with Jason as soon as possible. In the
meantime, though,
<br>
please send me a list of all of the electrical and mechanical
infrastructure that
<br>
you need to have installed in the room so we can consider it in
its entirety.
<br>
<br>
Jason: I'm doing a walk through of EEL 126 today (2:00 pm) with
someone else
<br>
from Facilities, do you want to check this out at the same time?

The RICH air compressor has arrived, it is currently in EEL rm
125. The plan is to install it in the rm 124 clean room. This is
a large unit and requires a new power feed, 208v 3 phase 70 amp
service. I have place a work order to run this new power feed.
FM&L needs an updated floor plan and charge codes for this.
The air cooling valve panel and tank are also complete, rm 125.
I thought these were already in the floor plan.

Thanks,

Has this compressor been coordinated through Walt? This
compressor is the first time I've seen such a thing and this
was not on Walt's overall plan for the room. Please
coordinate with him and get back to me with a charge code for
the work. There really isn't a viable close 208 70A source in
the area, which means the costs of this installation are going
to be a bit high.
