dear tyler,</div>
<div>excellent synopsis.</div>
<div>i strongly endorse your suggestion of putting the back-up gas banks outside, so that we can can access them even when the power is out; would be
<i>detector-saving</i> during the hurricane season, if we were to lose power.<br>

<b>Subject:</b> [Dsg-rich] Discussion from DSG meeting on RICH N2 backup</font>

Hello,</div>

</div>
<div>When N2 supply was shut off to RICH, the backup bank set (two 12-cylinder N2 banks) lasted ~ 77 hours. The first bank in the set lasted ~36 hours. The second lasted ~41 hours. A plot of the pressures at the RICH N2 panel showing this time period is attached.</div>

Since the backup bank set is now empty, DSG has procured a new set and also an additional set since the lead time on the banks' delivery is about three weeks.</div>

In yesterday's DSG meeting, we discussed the potential for loss of N2 to RICH during a situation preventing access to Hall B (power outage).</div>

<div style="font-family:Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12pt; color:rgb(0,0,0)">
In this situation, the backup banks will not be able to be replaced if they run out. To remedy this, DSG strongly suggests relocating the backup banks outside Hall B at the gas shed. George has noted that there is already available piping from the gas shed
to the forward carriage. Gas lines will only have to be run from the banks to the input at the gas shed and from the output on the forward carriage to the RICH N2 panel.<br>
