I received a reply to my inquiry to Super Dry about their other options for connecting nitrogen to the new dry cabinet. They have offered an option to include a rotameter and connection that will turn on in the event of a power loss to help protect the aerogel.
This option will be $900.</div>

Since the $2,030 auto-flow nitrogen connection will be removed from the PR, the overall cost of the dry cabinet will be slightly reduced to ~$21,000.</div>

In addition to this connection from Super Dry, DSG is in the process of designing our own "aerogel fail-safe" system . This fail-safe system will utilize a fails-open electric solenoid valve that will open nitrogen flow to the dry cabinet on a power outage.
We would also be able to open this valve programmatically to purge the cabinet with nitrogen in the event that the internal humidity increases beyond ~5% RH. More details on this aerogel fail-safe system will be coming in the next week.</div>
