maybe I'm wrong, Tyler can confirm it or not, but I remember that the <br>
averaging was enabled at some point to avoid fake alarms due to spikes <br>
in the readout of the values.<br>
We should make sure that disabling the averaging will not make the <br>
alarms system less stable.<br>
