Hi Sebastian,

The Target gas pad is directly behind the counting house. If you go out the back door of the counting house you will see a fenced in area with flammable gas signs. This is the location of the Hall B cryo-target tanks, control valves and lines. This is also the location of the only wall penetration that exists, which permits us to run gas lines and cables into the hall. This same  area was used for the BONUS6 gas supply and others over the years.

The 96B gas shed location of the He4 purge supply has been in use for >20 years. There is no need for an additional He4 purge gas supply into the hall. The Target gas pad is only so large, not much space available to place an additional gas supply. Next time your at the lab we can take a look at these areas if you want.

Hi George,

looks good! Can you remind me what (and where) exactly is the “Target Gas Pad” vs. the “96B Gas Shed”? Is there a reason that not all bottles (4He and He/CO2) are at the same location?
