Hello Carlos,
During the test of new gas panel, Bill Crahen sent this about the length of the tubing:
"I just talked to Cyril, and he shows a straight line distance of about 11', so figure perhaps 15' actual length, and shorten your supply line to match.”
So Bill and Bob made the tubing of gas panel at EEL accordingly. I have also cc’ed Bill Crahen, so he might answer it correctly if anything changed!!
Thank you,
Jiwan

Since that distance is not the shortest one due to all the obstacles and provisions between those elements (panel and detector), both (cable and tubing) will share the same path and will be quite longer than the evident path.

Basically, there are several possible intermediate steps to consider: The cables that are fixed to the probes should have connectors for easy installation together with the RTPC. The second step would be from those connectors to the gas panel. Finally, my understanding is that the crate containing the electronics for the gas system controllers will be some distance away (but on the same space frame level), on the North Side. (Nathan, please correct me if I’m wrong). I don’t know what that distance is, but maybe some of the other people cc’d on this email can answer.
