Hi Bob, Bill,
Yesterday, I meet Jiwan at EEL and he show me some possible flaws in the panel and some requests that we would like to discuss.
* after I discussed briefly with Bryan Eng about the possibility to change by software the signal output of PDT332, he suggested that it is much better to flip the sensor in the panel, so the reference level is always to the absolute transducer side. So, we would like to flip such sensor.
* Jinan showed me yesterday that the bubbler BB308 is always bubbling when he applies pressure over 5psi (please Jiwan, correct me if I'm wrong). The sensor PI310 barely shows any pressure, BB314 shows no bubbles, thus the RTPC prototype is not pressurizing. He closed the exhaust line of the bubbler with a cap and it everything seems to work. I think Jiwan checked that the supply tubbing is not obstruct, but he thinks that the length of the tubing is causing some resistance to the flow, so the bubbler acts as there was an obstruction. Jiwan would like to know if an increase of the oil level will solve it.
* Is it possible to get a larger scale indicator for PI309 (>5psi) and lower scale for PI309 (~0.5psi)? Jiwan showed me that with the pressure regime he works, those are a bit inappropriate.
There is something I told Jiwan, the panel was thinking for the final RTPC and not for the eg6 prototype he is using (which has HUGE leaks), so several parameters could be different and not suitable for its use at EEL. I am not sure about this last affirmation.
Finally, find attached the las version of the manual. As I mentioned to the collaboration, it needs to incorporate several items and I welcome suggestions, besides I gave the source of it for free modifications (if someone wants to take control of it).
Cheers
-Carlos
