   We just heard an update from Marco Battaglieri that we may get the beam to the Hall by this weekend. Bob Miller will be putting the beamline components back. I would like to ask you kindly to help with fixing the pressure transducer as soon as you can.

Eugene, Please don't start sweeping the magnets  till I confirm that we are done with this fix.

PDT208 is working fine, the connection is good. I verified connection and connected it to chassis. Its showing quite reasonable reading also.

PDT332( RTPC-DMS diff) is showing some weird number in epics GUI even before its connected to system. Cable from transducer is attached at chassis. How? I have no idea.( see attached) I think it should show zero. I compare PDT208(rtpc-buffer) reading removing cable from chassis, and it shows zero.

In addition, Connecting wires at transducer PDT332 are coming out. So we need color code of cables before connecting it.

I have replaced the fuse in the chassis and checked the internal components for issues. I did not reconnect the connector for the PDT 208 (differential pressure DMS to RTPC) because I could not verify if the contacts are wired correctly since it was reconnected, because the magnet beacon is on. I have attached a pinout which can be used to verify connections prior to plugging it back into the interface chassis.

    The magnets will be energized starting from 3:30 pm today to Monday morning. You won't be able to get to the gas panel, that is within the fields of the magnets.

Fortunately it already has the pinout on it.

Unplug that connector and measure between pins 6 & 5 for -15 VDC, 7 & 5 for +15 VDC. If those are good then it isn't power.

Next open the backshell of that connector and connect probes to 2 & 12 to see if it is reading the same voltage as the cRIO (~4 VDC). If the reading at the sensor matches the cRIO it probably isn't the cabling.

Lastly I would disconnect the detector and open the valves so that sensor is exposed to ambient pressure and see what it reads, if it's still ~400 torr then it is most likely the sensor, but could be the cabling/chassis.

To eliminate that possibility the sensor would need to be removed and tested on a bench using the same pins as listed above.

I don't think we (DSG) have a direct replacement for that, so I'd try Hall B and if not you'd need to talk with Bob as that involves changing a pressure system component.
