Dear Sebastian,
I’d like to forward your thanks to the Hall-B tech and research staff and the (your!) BONUS team: they deserve all the credits to make the experiment ready for the run!
The collaboration among the two teams was exceptional and we’ll use it as an example on how to manage future runs.
Thanks to all that made it possible!
Cheers

Dear Marco,
those are exciting news - things going in the right direction for a change! Let’s see if it pans out this way - the RTPC is ready.
Here is a short list of things that will need to be taken care of so we are in optimum shape:
- Target gas bottles with H2, 4He, and D2 (the latter must be a NEW bottle) on the gas pad.
- 4 He/CO2 drift gas bottles multiplexed together on the gas pad
- All pressure transducers and MFCs operational
- Update clas12mon and CED in the CH to the most recent version (with David Payette’s updated RTPC monitoring plots and Gagik’s fix of the overflow problem).
1000 thanks to everyone for getting us ready in time!
- Sebastian

Dear all,
this is what I received from Jay few minutes ago. It seems we have some hope to receive beam into the Hall by the end of the week!
We can discuss it tomorrow at the 2:30 meeting and decide whether we need to resume shifts over the week end.
Who’s is going to be the RC in the upcoming week?
Cheers
Marco

I don't know who the on-coming RCs are so I address this to the usual suspects. Please forward. I am on-coming PD. Beam is presently in arc 6 with good arc 5 match. My optimistic estimate:
End of Tuesday day shift: finishing 6E match
End of Tuesday swing: finishing 7E
End of Wednesday swing: knocking on 5C00
End of Thursday owl: matched at 5C00
Thursday day shift: maintenance
Thursday swing: recovery to 5C00 after maintenance
Friday owl: match first pass to Hall A dumplet* allsave
Friday day: match first pass to Hall B dumplet*
Friday swing: propagate beam to 3C dumplet
Saturday owl: poke beam into Hall B
Saturday day: poke beam into Hall C
Saturday swing: photons to Hall D
So lock up Halls B,C,D Friday afternoon. But enough sweepers might not be found Friday. C is ready to lock up and so could be swept Thursday swing and taken to controlled. Or even Wednesday swing. B or D Thursday swing and the other Friday swing? Would any of you object to Wednesday swing lockup of C, Thursday of D and Friday of B? Controlled access to C and D until Friday swing.
* Hall B gets four days at first pass before beam goes back to CREX. Hall C also needs two days at first pass but this hasn't been scheduled AFAIK
If all goes well, switch B back to fifth pass early Wednesday August 5 and start beam to A. Getting back to 150 uA first pass will be interesting so I'd like it to start soon after the 8am meeting.
Depending on where we are 1330 Wednesday, 0745 meetings will start either Thursday or Friday of this week.
Jay
