I went to the hall today and replace both ethernet cables - both links came up as 1GBit.
Most of cables in that switch are home-made and old, probably it is good idea to replace
all of them.

I've attached the syslog file for January 14 for that switch (hallb-l1-cvt-sw). It shows a lot of down/up events for ports 1 (svt2) and 3 (svt1). And also for ports 17,18,19 (vmetlsvt3, vmetlsvt4, vmetlsvt1). All of those ports are currently up at 100/full. None of them show a large amount of errors. Ports 1,3 show a fair number of output drops, altough the number wasn't increasing rapidly. If they are suppose to be 1Gbps ports, then that would explain those.

So, I'm not sure whats going on. Feel free to reboot the switch as well if you want. I find it hard to believe it would be the Ethernet cable to both of them, but who knows.

-Brent
