hi volker,
thanks for the info.
yes, it would be a great opportunity for dsg to participate, and i'm quite confident patrizia will endorse this activity.
unfortunately, i'll not be able to attend the meeting.
but i hope it would be ok if in addition to brian, peter, marc (from the old svt group) and tyler, pablo, and aaron join.
if these are too many, please let us know.
i am sure there will be many opportunities in the future
i'm requesting brian to make the slide you mentioned.
trust you are keeping well.
be safe!
sincerely,
amrit

Hi Amrit,
It is actually me who put Brian on the meeting after communicating with Patrizia a few weeks back about
his participation as an expert on the silicon electronics.
The Thursday meeting will be of exploratory nature to probe if and and how LBL and JLab could collaborate
on an essential part of the detector system(s) at the EIC. The Silicon tracker would have to pixelated, which
I think is new technology for us. It would be great if the DSG could play a leading part in this and become familiar
with the development of this new technology. There is also effort going on in using silicon in very thin layers
that can actually be bend around corners, this way avoiding gaps in coverage, and instead of using wire bonding,
a "stitching" technique has been developed.
I hope you will be able to participate in this first meeting at 3pm Thursday 4/9/20. The link to participate
is https://lbnl.zoom.us/j/5104866608<https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Flbnl.zoom.us%2Fj%2F5104866608&sa=D&ust=1586277562219000&usg=AFQjCNFKB1YDrl4YZiY3w8y_W51keHHZ4Q>
It wouldn't hurt to have one slide available showing the expertise of the DSG group, in case there is an opportunity
to present it.
Best regards,
Volker

hi latifa,
heard from brian that you plan to have a meeting on thursday about possible collaboration with lbl on the potential eic silicon detector.
this is great news.
it would be wonderful if many collaborate.
i would be grateful, if in he future you could please post such messages to the dsg-svt mailing list or at least cc me (brian's supervisor) or patrizia who is charge of the group.

Dear Yuri and Brian
We will have a meeting this coming Thursday at 3:00 PM with LBNL to discuss potential collaboration on EIC Silicon detector. We will need to prepare a short presentation about our experience with CLAS12 SVT. I hope that both of you can attend. Please let me know.
Best regards,
Latifa
