[Dsg-hallc_controls] Access to HMS and SHMS screens

Hi Pablo,
Not at this time. The experiment is starting to begin and giving permissions and security of the HMI screens would allow others to directly alter and change parameters (intentional or by an unknowingly accident) that would effect the experiment's data or result in down time for experiments. Only a few licenses exist (for a reason) and one is for the users, the others are for emergency on call experts. We even ask the experts to make it a practice not to have the HMI screens up and running on their computers while experiments are taken place, unless they first notify the users that they are going to open a HMI.
During Experiments, the users have sole control of the HMI unless they call for help.
Monitoring of any hall c (or accelerator) parameters can be done by read-only epics tags.
Thanks
Steven

Subject: [Dsg-hallc_controls] Access to HMS and SHMS screens
Hi Steve,
Can you please assign us permissions and security privileges to DSG users (amandah, bonneau, beng, campero, and tlemon) to access SHMS and HMS HMI screens.
So then DGS menbers can use one of the three available FT VIEW Client licenses, and the FT View SE license to open and access the HMI applications for HMS and SHMS from DSG controls room.
This will allow DSG the monitoring of Hall C during this upcoming run and also get familiar with the HMS and SHMS data logging, which will required upgrades according to one of the tasks posted in the "Hall C - PLC Tasks" List.
Regards,
Pablo
