Subject: [Dsg-hallc_controls] Status of SHMS PLC upgrades 

Hello, 

The following are the tasks performed with the aim to upgrade the SHMS PLC firmware from its version 16 to version 20: 


    1. Installed RSLOGIX5000 v20 on "skylla7" computer. 
    2. Installed RSNetwork V26 to set up and re-schedule Controlnet configurations on "skylla7" computer. 
    3. Installed latest version (v15) of ControlFlash software to make the firmware upgrades for all modules compatibles with redundancy configurations. 
    4. Run test on "Standalone" PLC to see the performance of V20 running on 1756 L-62 PLC controller. Test run with no problems, but it did not have redundancy module and configurations. 
    5. Upgrade firmware version for PLC controllers (1756-L-62) for both Primary and Secondary PLC chassis. 
    6. Update firmware version in SHMS Primary and Secondary PLC chassis for: redundant (RM), Ethernet (EN2T), Controlnet (CN2B) modules 
    7. Generated new PLC project file at V20, new program based on copy received from current ACD v16 PLC program running on SHSM. 
    8. Downloaded PLC ACD v20 program on SHMS PLC. 

We left the PLC controller running with the SHMS v20, but we had to be disable the "PLC redundancy" option on the PLC, since the time was not enough to setup back the redundancy configurations to synchronize Primary and Secondary PLCs . 
Mike Fowler confirmed that HMI monitoring and data login is running with no problems, valves were returned back to PLC control (setup in Manual mode during the PLC off line period). 

Tomorrow morning will continue with the setup of the redundancy synchronization and firmware upgrades for the remain communication modules (ENBT,EN2T,CN2B) in remote PLC chassis . Then the plan is continue with the swapping of Controlnet modules by Ethernet modules (Chassis Q1 and HX) if there is no problems with the redundancy synchronization.
