Hi,
The function block GRT_04 is the same as HLL_20 HighAlarm.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Steve,
The changes to the HMS PLC program to add the WRG vacuum gauge readout are mostly completed. The updated program is on the M: drive at "M:\dsg-hallc_controls\HMS_Controls_V20_2018_07_23.ACD".
The changes to read the gauge were added to Q3's function block diagrams as a new sheet (page 10) and is titled "WRG Vacuum Gauge".
The code does have an error caused by channel assignments because in the latest version of the HMS program that we have, the relay channel that provides power to the gauge ( Q3 PLC slot 4, channel 0 ) is already being used for the " CL_N_Open " signal. Since Q3 PLC slot 4, channel 0 is listed in the documentation you sent us, the code was left using that relay channel.
Is " CL_N_Open " no longer needed? Are additional changes needed to remove that code for this task?
Best regards,
Tyler

Hi
Send a print out or file of any program additions/changes to Mike for his review prior to implementing them.
Mike or myself will do the software mods to the running PLCs. This may either be online edits for small changes or ladder logic routines. Other larger mods will require downloading to the PLC which is a major task now that the magnets are cooling down.
You are correct on the HMS vacuum signal wiring.
Cheers
Steven

Hello Steve,
Just to verify understanding of what was said in the documents you sent:
>From Andy's email, the HMS spectrometer vacuum gauge will be read by HMS Q3 PLC in channel 11 of the analog input module in slot 7. The gauge is powered from HMS Q3 PLC in channel 0 of the relay module in slot 4. Is this correct?
I also have a few question on how to implement the changes to the PLC code (these questions are more general and will also apply to completing other tasks):
How should we make the changes to the code? Should we make a new version of the HMS PLC program with the changes and then download the updated project? Or could we just make the changes online?
Would we need to coordinate with anyone for the updates?
Best regards,
Tyler

Hi,
Andy has made the hardware and wiring changes for the HMS vacuum signal and control. Now the signal and power cyling needs to be added to the HMS PLC code. I provided the code used for similar gauges used on the SHMS in a previous email.
Thanks
Steven

Hi Steve,
Attached is the sheet that came with the dataforth module (I'll put the original in the storage room) and a boring description of the modifications I made to the wiring for HMS Q3's control rack to control an Edwards WRG (just like the ones on the SHMS). TLDR...The gauge's 24 V power is controlled by PLC slot 4 channel 3 and it's output (0-10 V) is read at slot 7 channel 11. Thanks.
Andy
