Not sure if this qualifies as good news or not, but I did verify that we can use the Aux connector on the PT2026 to power the unit back up after cycling the AC power.

So while not ideal, we do have a way to recover a unit remotely if it crashes (granted it requires at least 2 relay channels and an AC remote relay).
