[Dsg-hallc_controls] Controlnet modules

Ok, a few reasons.
The Ethernet switch is being worked on/replaced? in Hall C on Wednesday. With the Ethernet down, will this not prevent the PLC from controlling these devices? Magnets on ControlNet are immuned to Ethernet switches, intrusions, maintenance and such.
The Ethernet control modules experienced the same type of failure as the Control net module during experiments. Therefore they are no better then controlnet modules for the purpose that they were installed and tested for.
It is best to keep all control modules of the same type for the ten remote chassis in Hall C.

Hi Steven,
Two Controlnet modules were swapped by two Ethernet modules for the "SHMS-Q1" PLC chassis and "SHMS-HX" PLC chassis back on June 2018.
Why do we need to change them back again to the Controlnet modules?

Subject: [Dsg-hallc_controls] Controlnet modules
Hi,
I believe the SHMS has two magnets on EthernetControl instead of Controlnet modules (one may be just the HX).
The Ethernet switch in Hall C is being serviced on Wednesday and will be down for a time.
I would like to change the Ethernet modules back to Controlnet modules. This will require hardware change as well as unloading and reloading the modules in the software.
Can someone assist me with this today or tomorrow?
thank you
Steven
