This should not be a problem for magnets controls as we are planning on reverting the two Ethernet control modules back to ControlNet modules, most likely on Tuesday.</div>

The Ethernet tags coming from ESR should freeze in the plc. Not a problem.</div>

The Q1 magnet would lose its ability to regulate helium pressure and its valves (it is cold and full of Helium) if it loses communications with the PLC.</div>

Thus the switch back to the standard Controlnet modules.</div>

The main Hall C router's connection to the rest of the JLab intranet<br>
will be upgraded on Wed.<br>
<br>
During the cutover period (which should be quite short if things go<br>
smoothly), there will be a network interruption for devices<br>
communicating between the Hall C subnets and the rest of JLab.<br>
<br>
Note that communications within the SHMS hut (for example) should<br>
continue to work since the network switch in the SHMS hut itself will<br>
remain online. Hiccups are still possible though (ie. DNS may be<br>
briefly inaccessible).<br>

Brent Morris (CNI group) would be the person to talk to if more specific<br>
details are needed.<br>
