[Dsg-halld_plc] dsg support for hall d solenoid

Good morning all

In general this is how we, the Magnet Support Group will work - we set up an agreed support rota with the hall and DSG as Amrit has mentioned.

We provide back up support - i.e. the first port of call will be the individual hall’s on-call person, engineers and technicians. If they cannot resolve the issue, then we get called in. For us to be effective, we will need to be familiar with the Hall D solenoid and its sub-systems - this may take a little time.

I presume you would like this support to be provided from now or as soon as possible? Let us know and I’ll get my group working with Amrit’s to put together a rota.

By the way, Nick Sandoval is unfortunately not part of the Magnet Group, much as we’d like him to be. His supervisor has very kindly agreed for Nick to be available to provide out-of-hours support for Hall B. I’m sure we could come to some arrangement for Hall D also.
