Hi Mark,
We’re planning on completing the annual calibration of the Hall D Solenoid PXI today.
The plan is at around 9:30am, to move our external DC calibrator to the hall, set that up, and let it sit for a few hours to allow its internal temperature to stabilize. Then, after lunch around 1:30pm, we’ll start the calibration procedure.
This involves disconnecting the PXI terminal blocks from the magnet, connecting our test leads to the PXI, and running a program that injects test voltages using the DC calibrator into the PXI module. During this part, the PXI module undergoing test will be completely disconnected from the magnet.
We also do not need the magnet powered at any point during the tests.
Tim advised me to check in with you this morning before starting work. If I don’t hear back from you through email, I’ll try to find you in person at the hall.
If you have any questions or we should reschedule the calibration, just let me know
Thanks!
-Tyler
