Hi Amanda,


The UITF should be locked up for the whole week. Below is the related part ofan  email from Matt Poelker. I talked to him and confirmed the lock-up on Friday afternoon also. I'll email him now to find out if anything changed.


"Cooling down the QCM now, the rf group tells me we are close to having RF available.  I hope on monday the cave is locked up and the QCM is getting re-commissioned with RF.   We have LHe all next week.   After that I'm not so sure I have priority.   And all of this is contingent on adequate LHe supplied to the vertical test area for C100 cavity testing.   During rf commissioning, Carlos will apply high voltage to our new gun.   So no one inside the cave next week...."

I got my days mixed up and Tyler, Mary Ann, and I installed the Windows 10 PC in the UITF Cave 2 this morning.  The UITF was not closed up when we went over.  After installing the PC I remembered that the UITF was supposed to be locked up this week, so we left.  Nothing has been tested, only the PC was swapped. Do you know if the schedule for the UITF has changed or if they are still planning on locking up today?

Happy new year.


I just learned and confirmed that the UITF Cave 2 will be locked up for the entire next week. Since the rack is installed at the Cave 2, we can test the HDICENMR1 PC there this afternoon and the week after next, if you have time this afternoon.


It's great we can replace the old Rack 1 computer because it crashed twice already in the last two weeks.
