[dsg-hdice] 30 V supply

Hi Tyler,
I found a 18.5 x 1.5 x 1/8 aluminum flat bar. It’s a little bit short, but enough to be mounted on the IGH frame. Please take a look.
I left the flat bar on the IGH.
Thanks,
Xiangdong

Good morning Tyler,
Thank you for taking care of the IGH power supply issue, I really appreciate it.
I am not sure if we have the 19" DIN rail available or not, but I can check with Gary, our technician, to find out. Would you please let me know where you intend to install the Rail? I'll be at the HDice lab from 10 to 4, except lunch time.
Thanks,
Xiangdong

Hello Xiangdong,
Pablo and I took a look at the IGH where the 30 V supply needs to go.
It seems that the best way to install it is to remove the 24 V supply and install the 30 V supply using a rail mounted on the side of the IGH. The rail could be a DIN rail (in which case we'd also need a way to fasten a DIN connector to the 30 V power supply) or a plain, flat metal bar (in which case, we'd use screws to attach the 30 V power supply to the rail).
While we were over in the HDice lab and since everything was off, we removed the 24 V supply from the DIN rail and also the DIN rail to see if that rail could be used, but it is too short. We left the DIN rail removed from the IGH with the 24 V power supply sitting on the bottom of the crate with everything still wired.
Would HDice have either a 19-inch long DIN rail or 19-inch long x 1.5-inch wide flat metal bar that can be used? Should we go ahead and buy either if there are not any on hand?
Best regards,
Tyler

Good morning Peter,
Could you please let me know when the new 30V power supply will be installed on the IGH? We are now prep the dilution refrigerator for the coming run, and need to use IGH to control the fridge.
Thanks,
Xiangdong

Xiangdong,
If you're back from vacation, we have the 30 VDC supply that you've ordered.
We can meet if you want to discuss the next steps with this supply.
Our next scheduled meeting is July 18th since next Thursday is the July 4th holiday.
Peter

Andy,
Just to keep everyone in the loop we checked the power supply voltages, everything looked okay.
The stepper motor that drives the proportional valve was spinning as well.
We'll have to wait until Wei returns to do anything else since I'm not really sure what he wanted to do with the 30 VDC supply as nothing in the schematics calls for that voltage.

He'd like to see if it matches your previous measurements (taken before the installation of the other new power supply). If you're not sure which valve this is, I can show you.
