[dsg-hdice] question on multiple cycles in fsNMR program?

Hello Xiangdong,

Is there there a benefit of running multiple complete frequency sweeps in the fsNMR program?

For a simplified example, if you want to do 50 scans over the frequency range 50 kHz - 60 kHz in 10 kHz frequency steps, using the methods below, would Method 1 (how FRS program does it) give different/more desirable final results than Method 2?

Method 1: Set frequency to 50 kHz and acquire one measurement; switch to 60 kHz and acquire one measurement (end cycle 1); repeat process 50 times; end program.

Method 2: Set frequency to 50 kHz and acquire 50 measurements; set frequency to 60 kHz and acquire 50 measurements; end program.

Unless there is some behavior that needs to be observed by the frequency actually sweeping multiple times, I do not see how the end result of Method 1 and Method 2 would be different.

Best regards,
Tyler
