dear xiangdong,
thank you for patiently answering all our questions.
perhaps, you have already guessed that i've requested tyler to become the dsg expert on the hdice project.
of course, he will be ably supported by the rest of the group: peter, brian, pablo, aaron, mary ann...
thank you for taking the time.
sincerely
amrit

Hi Xiangdong,

Do you have any diagrams, photos, or drawings of the coil--holder?

The orientation of each coil in respect to the target is still unclear.

How are they attached to the hour-glass shaped coil-holder?

Thanks,
Tyler

Tyler,

In principle your assumptions are correct. The red box was for G-14 target (d=15mm, L=50mm), while the eHD target dimensions are d=19mm and L=12.5mm for the UITF test (Due to the 10MeV beam control issue). For the Hall-B experiments, they are d=25mm and L=25mm. For the location, all 3 targets share the same upstream edge (left edge of the red box). The 2 coils on the Orange coil-holder are orthogonal to each other, and perpendicular to the IBC snout.

Thanks,

Xiangdong

Hi Xiangdong,

I have another question, this time on the HDice target and the physical equipment used to measure the polarization of the target.

I found the attached picture in a talk given by the HDice group. The target is the item I've highlighted with a red box.

The part outlined in orange, I believe is the coil used to provide/collect the RF signal used to measure the target polarization. Is this correct? Are there two separate coils used in polarization measurement, one to provide the RF signal and one to collect the target's NMR response?

Thanks,
Tyler

Hi Xiangdong,

I have a few questions on the regular NMR program settings.

What is the typical central field and field sweep span that you all use for the NMR program? The run tables in the program's area have different values for these settings.

Thanks,
Tyler
