[dsg-hdice] Sorry, another Emergency Help is needed

I logged in to hdicenm2 with the hdice account to take a quick look at the power settings in the fsNMR.vi code to make sure it wasn't anything obvious causing those symptoms.

I couldn't see/find anything and manually running the set/read VIs (the only 2 I ran [it started at -50, I changed it to -60, then back to -50]) for the attenuator A works fine.

Also the dual power supply vi was on the screen when I logged in but not running; is that to be expected?

I've since logged off, but left all the VIs I opened on the screen.

Subject: Sorry, another Emergency Help is needed

Hi Tyler,

We successfully transferred a polarized target from DF to PD and measured target polarization there with NMR rack2, and then transferred it to IBC in UITF.

Since the NMR signal of a fully polarized target is huge, I had to use very low power, such as-40, -50, and -60dBm.

The fsNMR on the control rack did not allow me to run with those power, and sending high power instead. -30 was fine, but -50dBm was changed to -18dBm by the fsNMR VI, and -40dBm was changed to -24dBm. The error pictures are attached here. Please take a look at the fsNMR ASAP. I will be at UITF tomorrow morning to check the vi when you are done.

Since the IBC magnets are controlled by the rack2 pc also, please don’t change the magnet settings. The testing frequency range should be between 1 and 2 MHz; and power is -60, -50, -40, and maybe -30, to avoid accidentally de-polarize the target. The IBC solenoid is at ~0.9Tesla.

Thanks,

Xiangdong
