Hi Amanda,
You may hear already that blown fuse of the HDice water chiller caused PD partially warming up, during the rack 2 testing. The problem has been fixed and we are cooling down PD again.
When stopping the nmr program after seeing the PD warm up, I noticed that the power supply was still ramping the magnet for taking nmr data, despite the sample temperature (34K) and liquid helium level (6.4") were far beyond the alarm settings (5.5K and 9"). A screenshot of selected cryostat parameters is following.
I remember that you mentioned to me that, for historical reasons-which is not important now, this part of the program was not working. Since we are very close to declare the victory of test nmr Rack 2 without the CT box, let's put some effort to make the safety features functional, so we can use it to replace Rack 1 for next month's target cycle.
Can we meet in the HDice lab this afternoon to discuss the safety parameters?
Thanks,
Xiangdong
