As soon as we cool down the PD-I (in ~1 week), I will measuring the NMR the new rack.<br></div><br><div>There is one setback:<br></div><br><div>When preparing the PD-I in HDice lab yesterday morning, I noticed that the display of control computer on the new NMR rack was black. After stroking the SHIFT Key, the infamous Windows Blue Screen shown up, indicating a computer crash (see the attached picture IMG_3503).<br></div><br><div>As you mentioned 2 weeks ago, this computer requires the smart card to login (see attached picture IMG_3504), so I'm stuck and need your help. <br></div><br><div>Would you please: </div><div> 1). Investigate what caused the crash?<br></div><div> 2). Change the login settings to USING PASSWORD, so we (the HDice group) can get access to the computer all the time, especially in the night, weekends and holidays, to measure the target polarizations while on shift? The program was run for 1,000 cycles and the standard deviation of the field values was analyzed. Attached is a zoomed-in picture of a part of the average field values, showing the respective points' standard deviation over the 1,000 cycles.
