I saw a cool device in LOWES over the weekend for just about $40, it connects to your outside water facet and has 3 or 4 outlets which you can connect sprinklers to. You can set the device to water your at various times. You dont have to pay thousands of dollars to have a inground sprinkler system installed. $40 connect up several sprinklers setup the water time and Fahgetaboutit.

Subject: [Eesic] Time delay device, can be handy.
Hello everybody,
I ran across a device (we have 2) that was purchased years ago. It was to be wired into a 120AC line between the input to a vacuum pump and an isolation valve. Intent was to give the pump time to come up to speed before subjecting the load. One minute time delay with both the pump and valve needing 120VAC was the intent.
This simple, solid state, 2-lug device is adjustable and will work with 19-280V AC or DC. I connected it to a 39ma 24v fan this morning, set delay for 30 min, worked great.
A device such as this, for $40 or less, can prevent "operators" from cycling valves, causing excessive movement with beam insertable components, or possibly causing damage due to impatience. Good to know that I know it works with DC too.
No more blinking the 60w front porch light???
