Scott,
Thanks for taking on this task. The screen is much improved and the system documentation puts us in a better position for troubleshooting. Huge amount of effort given the lack of system documentation.

Subject: [Eesic] New 30Hz Sync Screen

In an effort to make troubleshooting 30Hz Sync problems more efficient, I have been working with Software to develop a new screen.
The original 30Hz Sync screen layout was in random order which made troubleshooting difficult. I have documented the physical signal path (block diagram attached) of the loop which Software then used to build the new screen. A fiber layout system print detailing the exact path through fiber distribution boxes is almost complete.
The 30Hz Sync signal consists of a "loop" of 30Hz cards daisy chained together using multimode fiber to provide a timing signal to SEE IOCS throughout the accelerator. In addition to the loop, there are several modified 30Hz cards that provide additional outputs to DRs in that area. The additional outputs are not part of the loop.
A Help screen will be added give the User guidance to determine where the problem may be and what steps to take next.
Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions concerning this change. There will likely be some tweaking on this screen, but I think it is a good starting point and much better than what we had previously.
Thanks,
Scott
