[Eg1_run] EG1b long proton paper

Dear all,

as you know, we are still in the process of replying to the first round of PWG comments on the EG1b inclusive p analysis note. As part of this response, we will need to provide a first draft of the long paper we plan to publish on the inclusive p results.

After several iterations and lots of input from various people, I have set up a special directory containing the files for the present version of that paper draft:

The files consist of a master and separate input files (hopefully the naming scheme is obvious) for each of the 6 sections. We have agreed on the following chief authors/editors for each of these sections:
1 - Introduction - Sebastian
2 - Theory - Sebastian
3 - Experiment - Yelena
4 - Data Analysis - Rob with help from Nevzat and Keith
5 - Results and Discussion - Ralph with help from Alexandre
6 - Conclusions - not yet decided

I am asking the named lead authors to download all files and then start working on their own files (only). Once you have an updated version of your file, please let me know where to get it (or send it via email). I will then update all files occasionally. I am also sending (in separate email) requests for specific pieces from some of the "helpers".
If you are NOT mentioned above, feel free to look at the paper anyway and send comments or offer help; we are obviously not far enough along for a thorough critique.
Our plan is to meet with the editorial board (all people mentioned above) on Wednesday, 4/13, all afternoon (as needed) to plan our remaining work on the paper, analysis note and reply to comments (the latter can be found at

We will have this "powwow" instead of our regular EG1 inclusive meeting that would otherwise take place on that day.
