Dear Spinners,
with the beginning of 2015 (Happy New Year!), things are changing. People have different schedules, and while the remaining tasks for EG1b are finite, there needs to be a new emphasis on the 12 GeV era, variously known as “EG12”, “E12-06-109”, or “Run Group C” (we could have a naming competition… ;-).
On meeting times: We have 2 choices:
a) Continue with our present meeting time, Wednesdays at 1:45 (every other week). Our first meeting would be tomorrow, Wednesday 1/14, in F227. If we stick with this schedule, I won’t be able to attend on site, but thanks to Bluejeans with its video capability, that shouldn’t be a problem. (We could also try to move the meeting earlier by a bit)
b) Change to THURSDAYS, 9:00 a.m., where we have already reserved room A110. Our first meeting would be in 2 days, Thursday 1/15, in A110.
Please send in your votes for either one of these options ASAP - I will announce the winner by the end of today.
In any case, it would be nice to get an update on the ongoing paper writing for EG1b. (For the deuteron paper, there is nothing new since the AHC has begun its work.)
On 12 GeV: Tony Forest found some broken links and has kindly begun to set up a wiki page at
https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/EG1
I propose that we use this page in the future for all 12-GeV related work (there is a short historic section on EG1b, which is of course fine to have). We could add meeting agendae, tasks, etc. to that wiki to get organized. Your suggestions are very welcome. In any case, we need to focus on what we need to do to be ready for a successful run in 2018. As a start, I can give a quick summary on polarized target developments.
Hoping to see you soon - Sebastian
