[Eg1_run] Fwd: [EXTERNAL] Management of /work/clas run-groups directories

Dear EG1 and BONuS collaborators,

please read the email below. I have to say my own preference at this point in time would be to “give up” all the disk space still associated with our CLAS6 experiments. However, if any of you are still working on (or planning to resume) some analysis that could benefit from access to these disk directories, please let me know.

Dear All,
We are contacting you to ask your assistance in the management of the disk space allocated for CLAS run groups data under /work/clas. This area contains subdirectories for each of the CLAS-6GeV run groups that have been used by Collaborators in support of ongoing analysis. However, over the years, many files and folders have been accumulated using a significant amount of disk space and no cleaning has happened in quite some time.
You are receiving this email because you have been deeply involved in one or more of the CLAS run-groups analysis and we think you could help us in managing more effectively this disk space based on your knowledge of the past and present run group activities. We therefore ask your availability to be the contact person for the management of the /work/clas subdirectories according to the list included below and take care of the following tasks:
- identify files and folders that can be deleted;
- report the size of folders that are not accessible because of wrong permissions and have the permission fixed by the user or by IT;
- estimate the disk space needs for the upcoming year.
