Hi Raphael,

it looks good. I think if you actually fit these histograms for delta z 
then the
second histogram will yield a statistically significant lower sigma for 
the peak.
I think if the new code is working (not crashing and producing tracks) 
without
slowing down the cooking significantly it would be better to use the new 
one.
