Concerning the value of t for high energy electrons detected in the IC
In the attached plot I show the lines of constant 

xB in blue
Q2 in red
W in green
polar angle of the virtual photon in purple

in the plane of (momentum,polar angle) for the electron. The polar angle of the virtual photon varies quite fast when the electron go at low angle at high energy. So I think that the events Dave is searching for could have the EC pi0 direction not too far from the virtual photon direction, in other words not necessarily high t. At least it does not seem obvious to me.
