<div>The Medium Energy Physics Group at Mississippi State
University invites applications for a Postdoctoral
Research Associate position. The group has research
interests which include studies of nucleon structure and
hadronic physics at Jefferson Lab and Fermilab, such as
the precision measurement of hadronization and hadron
propagation, precision measurement of charge symmetry
violation in quark distributions, search for the onset
of color transparency both in CLAS-12 and Hall-C at
Jefferson Lab. The group is in addition interested in
the study of the sea distributions, EMC effect, and the
parton energy loss with the Drell-Yan experiment at
Fermilab. The group also has an active program in
studies of fundamental symmetries.
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>We are looking for candidates who will be stationed
at Jefferson Lab and will lead our effort on the ongoing
CLAS-6 data-set analyses, and participate on the
software development for CLAS-12 and the upcoming
BoNuS-12 experiment. The candidate would also work
on the commissioning of the Super High Momentum and
CLAS-12 Spectrometers and the running of the upcoming
early experiments in Hall-B and Hall-C. The Candidate
will be encouraged to actively participate in the
development of new experimental proposals for JLab.

<div>A PhD in experimental nuclear or particle physics
or related fields is required. The initial appointment
is for one year, and can commence as early as <span><span>Jan
1, 2017</span></span>. The appointment can be
extended for a maximum of two additional years, based
on mutual satisfaction and continued funding.

<div>Screening of applications will begin immediately
and will continue until the position is filled.
Applicants should submit a vita and brief statement of
research interests, and should have three letters of
recommendation sent to: Prof. Lamiaa El Fassi (<a href="mailto:elfassi@jlab.org" target="_blank">elfassi@jlab.org</a>),
Hilbun Hall, P.O. Box 5167, Mississippi State
